Artist's Comments

Wrapped together with a sparkler.. the line above them is me throwing the sparker into the sea after i'd finished running around them with it!

Photography - comes from the greek words meaning 'light' and 'paintbrush' which roughly translates to drawing or 'painting with light'.

This is one of a series of photos I did in which I was exploring light-painting within my images - all colours and effects are achieved using sparklers, torches, and coloured flashguns. No post shutter manipulation was made beyond overall brightness and contrast.

the lighting is perfect. The movement shown the bright thing what's that? it's just perfect, i really, really, really love it, i think it's the fact that although it's quite dark, everything's perfectly defined.
i love the sky, and how that streak seems to meet where the sun is setting, or dawning, not sure...it's just magnificent.
